Homemade Healthy specializes in holistic nutrition coaching and workshop services in Kingston, Ontario and virtually across Canada. 

I am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and certified Culinary Nutrition Expert with a passion for making simple, healthy meals and plans that are accessible for all lifestyles, budgets and skill levels.


Originally from the east coast of Canada, I now live in Kingston, Ontario with my husband. I come from a fairly large family where we ate dinner together every night and all of our celebrations involved food. Growing up, we always had homemade meals and treats, and I learned at an early age to show my love and appreciation through food. Today, it is my favourite way to show those around me that I love them!


When I’m not in the kitchen, I can be found spending time with family and friends, dancing or reading. The inspiration behind Homemade Healthy is my passion for educating as many people as possible about nutrition and how easy it can be to live a healthy lifestyle without sacrificing all the things you love. I believe that life is all about balance, and as long as you are equipped with the right knowledge of what your body needs, you can make healthy choices that work for you.

I am a 64 year old male in relatively good health. However, like many others, I have some minor issues to deal with. For example:

  2. Following a proper diet and understanding the impact of maintaining consistent blood sugar levels.

Through Sue's evaluation, we were able to focus on my issues and risks and she made some specific diet recommendations.   I followed Sue's plan and the results have been tremendous.

I am much more aware of what is required to reach my health goals and maintain them throughout retirement.

Sue recommended a number of simple dietary adjustments and her plan was very easy to follow. I no longer experience fluctuations in blood sugar levels and have a plan that leaves me not having hunger issues throughout the day. As an added bonus, I have dropped some weight and feel fabulous! I am a huge believer in Sue's programs and her depth of knowledge. When I initially started working with her, I was hesitant because of how much I thought changing some habits might impact my household, our budget and my enjoyment of food in general. I can say confidently that Sue alleviated all of those concerns almost immediately and now I cannot imagine life without her plans and support. Our family learned that we could make small adjustments that would have large impacts on how we felt. What I loved about the program was that it was never meant to be a major overhaul that would have invariably gotten abandoned after a few weeks. This program was about learning what to limit, what to increase and which new foods or supplements could boost your body's capabilities. It is easy to follow, fun to experiment with and just generally makes you feel like a healthier, more thoughtful person. I know that I am sleeping better, burning more healthy calories, feeling more energized and have lost over ten pounds in a little over three months.
